There was no specific shot list for this one. Before our day together, I asked my client about her vision. Although she didn’t have a detailed plan, she mentioned that making pancakes together, reading books, and simply enjoying each other’s company at home were important to them.
We spent over an hour together, and I happily played the role of the awkward fifth wheel! I observed them as they read their favourite books, while their little one cut up a banana for the pancakes, occasionally snacking on the pieces. Isn’t that the best part? I documented them sharing pancakes and, most importantly, just being together. I even handed the camera to their little one, who got to take a picture of his parents!
Nobody needs to bundle up, dress formally, or leave the comfort of their home. Casual wear can look elevated when you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing.
